An Irish Mexican Feast with Moreish Good Food.

  • Laurelbank Farm 121 Middle Road Ballynahinch, Northern Ireland, BT24 7LS (map)

I first met Eileen from Moreish Good Food here at the farm when she attended a Twilight Gardening evening many years ago and was immediately struck by unbelievable enthusiasm for life and food! So, I was beyond delighted when she agreed to a collaboration here at Laurelbank Farm. Her food is colourful and flavourful and often inspired by her upbringing in Mexico. I am so looking forward to this feast!

In Eileen’s own words, “I have always had a love affair with food; it takes me to different places, makes me feel loved, welcomed and happy. Passing those feelings on with my cooking is what I’m here to do and it is my favourite form of expression, so expect colours, textures and lots of flavour from my food!”

Together with Claire, our seasoned resident chef, we’ve put together a menu that is truly a celebration of the best of Irish and Mexican cuisine, bursting with flavour, warmth and passion. “It is my hope that my food will make you feel nourished and spoilt, knowing that it has been thoughtfully planned and cooked just for you.”

As always we will be using the best local seasonal produce, and of course our very own organic vegetables grown here on the farm. I’ve even brewed a tasty wheat beer for this very special occasion. I can’t wait for you all to experience what is sure to be a very magical (and tasty!) night indeed!
